In cooperation with renowned parties in the sector, last week Fluvius Industrial Projects finalized a feasibility study related to the subject of making the Dutch inland vessel fleet ‘greener’ by upgrading (refitting) existing diesel engines with common rail technology.  Issues (drivers and blocks) such as rules and regulations, technical-, economical- and financial aspects (Return On Investment), potential emission reduction and fuel savings, as well as potential environmental benefits, were addressed. Workshop LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) & hybrid propulsion

On Friday 1st. of December 2017, Arnold Luttikhuis from Fluvius Industrial Projects gave a Workshop ‘LNG & hybrid propulsion’ to teachers of 6 regional colleges for intermediate education (maritime technology and nautical education).

During this workshop, a comprehensive programme was addressed, comprising issues such as physical properties, environmental benefits, LNG-equipment, propulsion configurations, emissions and regulations, hazards and safety, operational- and capital cost.
